Weapons qualifications not required
Allowed weapons include bow, crossbow, shotgun, muzzle loader, straight-walled, .22 rim fire, air-rifles, and primitive weapons
Disabled hunters can hunt from vehicle and have access to designated "drive in" hunting areas off the trail roads
Pre-season scouting
Check in/out system provides a "guardian angel" to make sure you are safe
Annual permit fee is less than leased property or private hunting club fees
Weapons qualifications included with permit or MNHA membership for hunters who participate in managed hunts
MNHA members have access to archery range and membership firearms range days
MNHA members have access to cold storage locker to store game for up to 24 hours - useful for those early morning hunts before work
